I try to get photo documentation when we manage to have all the grandchildren in town. It is rare and wonderful! This holiday season we won't have everyone together so this photo is all the more precious. As are each of them.

These three all had turquoise on this morning...at least until Henry got out of his pajamas.

Coffee with the little kids

I took an Engagement photo of Kiel and Cherise in front of this coffee shop several years ago. Today, she and I stopped in for a bite of breakfast with her two kids and Master Garrett.

Henry must have told a joke or something because Garrett is cracking up laughing.

I managed to load a few photos onto my computer (as opposed to my iPad) so I could do some photo editing. I love using this vignette feature. This is a nice picture of Anabelle but it's a great picture of Henry!

Henry and the Uncles

It has been awhile since I took pictures of our boys so... here are Cameron and Hayden just after we had lunch. Hayden had taken Henry for a walk around the block before we headed home for nap time.

I love the lighting in this picture of Jess and Garrett. I'm going to have to make it into a print, I think.

I've got a few prints to make as Harlan has a new office and he wants to update the photos that he has on display there. I have to get a tour of the new place so I can help him with frame purchases and such. Fun stuff.

When the Big Kids are in school

Fred Meyer has some great animal hats in children's sizes. Not ready to put out $12 x 8 for the grandkiddoes but this little guy looks pretty cute in this one.

First time I had to use the toddler tamer seat in the rest room. Why didn't they have conveniences like this when our kids were smaller.

Since Katie is going to be a big sister pretty soon, it was nice to have a little bit of supervised time with cousin Anabelle.

Lyssa often dresses Katie as her polka daughter but today they were both wearing stripes. She is cute as a bug in anything, her mom is cute with her baby belly too!

Garrett looks super happy to have cousins around to play with. It is nice to have them here for a few days!

Some "Grand" adventures

Grands at the Mall

The menu on Thursday said "Mall Food Court" so off we went. I realized after we got there and loaded the youngsters into their respective strollers that we have them color coordinated to match their strollers.

Dessert was cinnamon Bitz from Wetzel Pretzels. Not quite as sweet as a Cinabon but yummy!

Parking lot Puddle Jumping

Rowie had his boots on so I pointed him toward a couple of decent sized puddles that he could have a bit of fun in. I love splashing through puddles when I'm wearing rain boots and shuffling through fallen leaves when it's dry.

Dance Party

Hayden put some music going down in the family room for the kids to "dance" to. Jumping, spinning, some faux ballroom moves made for a fun couple of hours.

Katie the Colorful!

Alyssa dresses Katie in such cute outfits. Layers and multiple patterns but they always go together. She looked like a little Scandinavian doll in this dress with it's crinkly netting holding out the skirt and her fleece lined boots.

Six year check-up

Genevieve got to do a hearing and vision test at her check-up.

She got to use the adult eye chart since she knows all her letters. She has perfect vision.

Waiting for Dr Bledsoe. They have a couple of drawers full of books to keep busy while waiting. She got an excellent report. No shots! (which she was thrilled about)

I snapped a picture of this poster before we left so I can help the kids remember how to stay healthy this fall and winter.

She weighs 44 lbs and is 44 inches tall.

Perfectly square. Just like she should be at this age.

Family Outing

We got here!

I probably should go to one of the other pumpkin fields in the area one of these years but I've alway gone to this one. It is familiar and a tradition of sorts.

The red barn with its variety of animals to see is so picturesque.

Weird and wacky weather

Since I wanted to go to the Pumpkin Patch as a part of Genevieve's birthday celebration, we went regardless of what the weather was doing. It was a on again/off again kind of day. We had a bit of a shower while the kids played in the hay maze but as we were heading out to the pumpkin field the sun broke through the clouds.

Har and Jess were smart to keep to the road and avoid the muddy field.

Danika was the first to find her pumpkin. I was planning ahead this year and brought plastic bags to carry them in.

Hay Ride!

We caught the last hay ride back to the barn. Our group was the only one out in the field at the end of the day so the nice farm worker waited until we all had our pumpkins. I didn't bring big enough bags for the boys' pumpkins but the rule is "If you can carry it out of the field, you can take it home". Charlie, Cam and Hayden all are going to have very large jack-o-lanterns.

This is the first opportunity Genevieve and Danika had to use their umbrellas. They were thrilled!
