 While coming home this a.m. from the kids' school I spotted this truck ahead of me. I was surprised to see that what I thought was a lovely design etched on the truck was actually a lovely design etched in the dirt on the truck. I wish I had someone to do artwork on our van. Either that or I need to get someone to wash it for me!

Both girls had appointments

 Danika had her dental appointment for a cleaning, fluoride and x-rays this afternoon. Genevieve was there for her final appointment to get a couple little fillings. They have been talking about this visit for almost a month. They planned on what they were going to play with and sure enough, they spent their waiting time in the kitchen area.

Danika has only a couple of requests when she goes to the dentist; bubble gum fluoride and the pink chair.

I caught her checking out her sparkling teeth in the mirror. She earned prizes from 4 different colored drawers. 

Glow in the dark eyeballs! Bed time should be interesting tonight.

While Genevieve was being worked on, Danika started watching Cinderella. She said she's never seen this movie. Is that even possible? When was the last time it came out of the "Disney Vault"?

I see new things every time I go there 

These cute little hooks are in the back hall near the break room. I guess you use whichever hook suits you that day.

 I had never noticed these outside each of the operatories either. Pretty neat, if you ask me!

Finally finished

 Genevieve got away from there with quite a stash of prizes too.  Today was Stuffed Animal Day at school for Spirit week, so Genevieve had her stuffed giraffe to hug during her procedure. He also was there to supervise the prize picking. She doesn't look too happy but she was still numb.

Skipping back to the van, talking about after school snacks. Genevieve is going to be eating soft things for the rest of the day but she's pretty happy to be all done with her appointments.

Just in case you think we only have pick and white blossoms

 They are few and far between but there are splashes of bright yellow around the neighborhood too (apart from those abundant daffodils).

All about Krystle!

Happy Birthday Aunty Krystle

In looking through photos from the past year or so, I found pictures of Krystle almost always had nieces or nephews in them too.

And then there are her monkeys!  These grandkids sure love spending time with Aunty Krystle, usually  watching something on DVD.  They also turn to her in times of need when it's dark and lonely and they want to borrow one of her stuffed animals to help them get through the night ;0)

This was so cute. I wish I was able to post the whole video on here. Rowan and Katie were supposed to say "Happy Birthday Aunty Krystle" at the same time. He said it and Katie didn't. She was busy bending over and then she stood up and said it by herself and Rowan turns to go, mumbling to himself "Finally, she got it!" Silly exasperated boy.

Birthday Lunch with her Dad and me

Har and I got to take her out to Applebee's for lunch. We had a really nice visit with her and talked about her goals and dreams. They served her with a lovely birthday shooter  before we headed home.

 I think she liked them! I am loving them too. I'm happy she decided to leave them down in the dining room for everyone to enjoy.

 She and I got to run out the mall for a little while and then stopped and picked up pizza from Bellagio's for supper. Jess, Joylynn and family, Courtney and Charlie and all three of our boys were able to be here for the party. It was nice to have all of the "kids" home for the evening.

 Danika made a birthday crown for Krystle and Wyatt drew a picture.

I made her a quilt big enough for a queen sized bed. It's 99 inches square. And a true patchwork.

More presents

Garrett was helping her unpack her gifts. She got a hot pink jean jacket, a denim pencil skirt and a nice white top. I fell into the trap of buying her something I'd love to wear myself if I was her size. ;0)

Twenty-six! 

Wow! Twenty-six already. We are looking forward to this coming year. I truly believe the best is yet to come for this gal.

Cute little coffee shop

 When we were in Raymond, WA last weekend I popped into a little coffee shop called "One Moore Cup". I would love to spend a part of every morning sitting in their lovely log cabin. 





The barista there had put up St Patrick's Day decorations. It reminded me of my days of serving coffee at New Song. I loved changing up the decor to match the seasons.

 She had little leprechauns on shelves and tucked into greenery here and there. It was so quaint and cozy! While chatting I found out that she had moved there from Goldendale, WA. She went to school with my brother-in-law Michael's nephew, Eddie. Small world! (I don't remember her first name but her last name is Williams)

St Patrick & our shared heritage

I don't know a whole lot about St Patrick. I do know that he is the patron saint of Ireland but that is about all. I found this prayer that he is supposed to have prayed.

May the Strength of God pilot us. 

May the Power of God preserve us.

I really like that line about "Christ (being) in the heart of every man who thinks of me". Wouldn't that be something? Everyone who is celebrating this day, in whatever manner, being drawn to Christ!

Spending time with a leprechaun 

Garrett picked out a headband complete with wiggly shamrocks. He's all ready for St Paddy's day on Sunday. He has a new t-shirt with a leprechaun band on it called "The Sham Rocks".  I hope Joylynn takes pictures of their "Wearin' o' the Green" on the weekend.

Pi day!

We celebrated 3-14 aka Pi Day (3.14) yesterday with a yummy cherry pie. I think Harlan appreciated it more than anyone. Poor guy is dessert deprived more often than not.

 Partylite party

It turns out that 3 of my girls attended the Partylite show with me last night. Joylynn is wanting to start selling their wonderful candles again. Courtney was there to ohhh and ahhh. Cherise was there via facetime from Southern California and I was there to SHOP!

Prettiness inside and outside

I joked with Harlan thanking him for buying me flowers. He did pay for them, he just didn't pick them out. After Courtney's birthday flowers faded, I was feeling the need for more cheeriness in my dining room. It turns out that we're getting treated to a lot of lovely flowering trees around the neighborhood this week as well. These pink and white blossoms are on the same tree. So pretty!

Beautiful day to celebrate a beautiful lady

 Harlan and I were so pleased to be able to have lunch with Tom and Kim to celebrate Kim's birthday. Salty's on the Columbia was the place she chose.

The food was wonderful and the company beyond compare.

 I think this was a white chocolate truffle cake. It looked delicious!

 A party isn't complete without a little magic

 It is quite impressive to see a couple of forks being held up on the edge of a glass by a mere quarter.

A wish and a smile

 The trees outside of the restaurant were blossoming so I had Har take my picture. We then saw a single dandelion in full seed. We were wishing for a grandkid to be there to pick it and blow a wish. I'm sure our yard will be loaded with them before long and the grands will need no prompting in seeding the neighborhood with them.
