This particular day we were heading to pick up Har from the mall.
I call this Lucky Lloyd Center.
Nicole's last week of work in Vancouver.
Our sweet friend Nicole has been working in Vancouver, WA and living in Raymond, WA. so a daily commute is not really practical.
We were so happy to have her spend her last work week with us.
Her brother stopped by for some "pampering". Nicole is an amazing cook, baker, musician, hair stylist, .... there isn't much that she can't do.
We are going to miss her when she is up in Alaska making some money for college during the summer.
The Ham Fam
Bob, Lalita and their precious son, Simon, were in town for a long weekend. They came to our house for an afternoon and stayed for supper. Simon is a wonderfully curious and polite little boy. We love these guys and claim them as our own. It was GREAT to see them!
The Big Home Improvement Project
Even though Katie doesn't look super excited about it we went to Lacey to see them.
There were kids that stayed on the home front.
Rylan, Krystle and Courtney needed to stay home because of work and school.
Courtney was blessed to have the use of a friends car all week and had Charlie's family practically adopt her. Krystle did well as she started her internship at Portland Community Media. Rylan went about his business and wasn't seen a whole lot.
Have computer access? Can keep up on school!
Hayden and Cameron did not have to miss school just because we were out of town. Logan and Alyssa have great fast internet so they had to buckle down and get some stuff done.
Demolition and Installation
One of the main reasons for us to go up to see Logan and Alyssa was for Har to help out a bit with some home improvements. They tore out the old sliding patio door, the stationary one as well as all the surrounding metal. They framed in a pair of doors that they mounted to swing out toward the patio.
My main reason for going....
These two little people were my reason for being there. Spending time with Alyssa was fun too! I also like to make supper occasionally. My main job though was taking pictures of the kids and holding the baby.
The Uncles did have some down time. Cam played with Rowan a lot.
We went to this super sports complex park with a couple of playgrounds. Rowan liked the playground but preferred to just walk and walk on the huge grassy playing fields.
He is pretty social. Here he was telling perfect strangers that he had a dog named "Max" and that he was at his house.
The little Miss is going to be spending time with each of her parents over the years doing these things. Watching Dad work on bikes and shopping with Mom.
I think she has the hang of both activities.
