So Thankful... appointment and preparation

Doctor's appointment for Genevieve
I had to pick Genevieve up from school to take her to an appointment the week of Thanksgiving. The student body had written down things they were thankful for and those were made into the feathers of a gigantic turkey. It's nice that the staff or PTA is so creative in their seasonal decorating. I'm sure the students love it.
Her appointment was over here on the east side of the river. As a precaution the kids' pediatrician wanted her to be seen by an pediatric orthopedist to check out her hips. When she was a little baby they thought there might be a future problem and it was time to  find out if it developed.

Genevieve is one kids that is happy coloring or drawing. She will sit and doodle for hours. The doctor's office had coloring sheets for little patients to work on.

They also had some snazzy shorts for her to put on to get her x-ray. I thought the art work in the room was "purr"-fect for this kitty loving granddaughter.

We had a good view of the Fremont bridge from the exam room.

After looking at the pictures the doctor pronounced that she was doing great! No indication that she has developed or will develop any sort of dysplasia. That was wonderful news.

The tribe was rounded up for our trip to Tri-cities
It looks like Garrett was planning to represent the Native Americans at our feast ;0)  He tends to like marking himself up whenever he has a chance. He's pretty good about not writing on his clothes though.
We ran into chilly weather
Because we waited until Hayden was done with his Wednesday class we ended up leaving home around 4:30. The temperature kept dropping as we got into the gorge and by the time we arrived at Cherise and Kiel's it was well below freezing.

The kids got ready for bed and Cherise wrapped up her homemade pies.
Visions of Turkey danced in their heads
Everyone had a bed to settle into. Garrett slept in Anabelle's bed. I glanced over and the socks that had been on his feet were now mittens for the M&M guy.
The fun had begun!
