Rock Creek Elementary
Wyatt had a meet and greet at his school this week. He was excited to get back there and see what was new. He is now in the 1st grade wing. His teacher is Mrs Peck. She seems really nice.
He had to give us a tour of the playground.
It is really a great area to burn some energy. He knows all the ropes having been there for Kindergarten.
I have wondered why there were star and planet and asteroid shapes on the fence there. It's because they are "The Rockets". I didn't realize elementary schools had team names but Wyatt is a Rock Creek Rocket!
Reading Room
Wyatt showed us the reading specialist's room. He stopped to pose with his folks and Garrett. He probably won't be needing to be here much this year, if at all. But I think this is one of the coolest rooms in the school. It's cozier than the library. Very welcoming.
Early to Bed
We haven't been practicing our early bedtime so it's most likely going to be a rough few days. We are all so proud of our big first grader!
He's a pretty cool little dude.

Hooray for cousin Wyatt!! Elementary school is so exciting! Seeing these photos takes me back to Sabin days. Thems were some good days! :D Good luck with that bedtime!
