Super tired after football
Garrett spent Sunday night in his "Chugga chugga choo choo" bed. I think he could probably say "Thomas" but he won't. It's a chugga chugga choo choo bed!
He was really tired and fell asleep pretty quickly but did not stay asleep soundly for long. A fever kept him tossing and turning for most of the night. It kept him and us from getting a good rest.
The poor little guy was still a bit under the weather in the morning. Look at those red cheeks :0(
He did look pretty in his sissy's ear muffs though.
Feeling good enough to do a Safeway run
Safeway has a very different type of car cart than Fred Meyer does. The child rides way in front of and below the basket of the cart. It makes it a little more difficult to keep them from filling the passenger seat with things from their own shopping lists. Garrett enjoys both types but I think he prefers this one as it seems like he's really driving and he can get in and out on his own!
Survived day one and two!
It's been a roller-coaster couple of days for me emotionally and there were some very trying moments for Cam but we've both survived. The afternoon of day one was better than the morning. And all of day two has been good for Cameron, but I'm still having a tough time.
It has helped to be in communication with his amazing academic counselor. I'm so pleased to have this man in Cam's corner, being an advocate, at the school. He is so encouraging!
Whatsoever things are lovely...
In walking to the school and back from the very scarce available parking spots around there, I started seeing those things in the area that are picturesque.
The dormant community garden.
This cabinet door art on a tree along the walk.
The sidewalk heading away from the school and toward home.
A bench along the walking trail through Grant Park.
A gigantic burl on a tree nearby.
This hungry squirrel was at the grandkids' school, but I'm sure that the park next to Cam's school has plenty of them too.
I'm starting to look forward to watching for the signs of spring to appear in this neighborhood.
Because it really is quite lovely.

Poor Garbear :( hope he feels better soon!
Hooray for Cam and you :) I think things will just go up from here. Your prayer covering extends all the way here to the east coast so soldier on but rest assured you are all in the hollow of His hand and He is guiding you. You are an awesome Mom!
I wish I could be there to walk with you and let my kid play on the statues at the park next to Cam's school. You'll have to take the cousins there! It'd be a great place for photos ;)
Love you!!!
Those are aunty's earmuffs, thank you very much!
