Danika is finishing her school year at Head Start. She and her classmates had an official ceremony to mark the occasion. It took place at Irvington Covenant Church.
I didn't realize that not all of the kids in her class graduated tonight. Only the ones going on to Kindergarten in the Fall went through the ceremony.
The program
There was a processional with the introduction of each graduate. There was a lot of singing and sharing and it was overall enjoyable.
Danika's fan club
Genevieve loved sitting by her mom and Garrett had a front row seat as well in his stroller. Wyatt said he was "bored" waiting for it to start. He sure appreciated the refreshments though!
The uncles were holding down the back of the room near the sound board.
Diploma and photo with the teachers
Danika had the nicest teachers. There were three of them but one had a baby around 6 weeks ago so she wasn't there tonight but will visit on the last day of school. Thank you, Miss Becky, Miss Rachel and Miss Shanna for a wonderful school year!
Refreshments and time with friends
J'Quan is one of the kids that didn't graduate this year but he's been an admirer of Miss Danika all year. He's quite the charmer.
Joylynn was so touched to be there for this special occasion. Danika was happy to have her whole family there!
Purple girls
Joylynn, our original Purple lovin' girl has handed that love down to her daughters. Though I think Aunty Iris might be one of the first purple loving girls in the family.

So cute! What a fun evening. Love the song list, and the too cool for preschool uncles ;) it's great to see the whole R clan together. Very sweet pictures of Jinn and her girls especially. Wish we could have been there! :)
