Hello San Diego!
It was a sunny day in southern Cali!
Excited welcome party
Anabelle instantly became Grampa's girl. She preferred him to help her do things or just snuggle her the whole time we were there. Henry did a happy dance in the airport. He was so cute! He'd already planned for us to stay two days more than we could.
Anabelle was pointing out the sites before we even got to their car. It definitely didn't look like we were in Portland anymore!

I was so impressed with this lovely city. From the flowers and sunshine to the ships and trains, there were things to marvel at everywhere.
Afternoon swim
One of the first things we did when we got to Cherise and Kiel's place was try out the pool. Well... at least I did. It was so refreshing. Princess Anabelle preferred the hot tub to the cooler water in the pool :0) We were out there for about a half hour and then headed in to get ready for our first evening out on the town.
The pool is on the 10th floor. They live on the 23rd.
A bit of their neighborhood
We walked out to have a bite of supper and then went to walk through their closest mall. I love the architecture of the buildings downtown. Very pretty.
Back home and the kiddos in bed
This has been what Harlan had looked forward to since he found out where they found a place to live. Having tea and dessert out on the balcony with Cherise and Kiel. I managed to step out there far enough to take this picture. You're not going to catch me looking over the railing =:-O
Birthday flowers from her hubby
Kiel brought this beautiful bouquet home for Cherise. It was a marvelous Birthday Eve.
