Wyatt's class did a great job building bridges
Did you know that there are 10 bridges that cross the Willamette River in the Portland area? Wyatt's class was broken down into groups of 2 to 3 students with each group concentrating on one of the bridges.
They built models of each of them.
Here are the completed models
The bridges are as follows, top left photo to lower right: St Johns, Fremont, Broadway, Steele, Burnside, Morrison, Hawthorne, Marquam, Ross Island and Sellwood. Notice the Portland Oregon sign? It is located at the west end of the Burnside Bridge in old town.
Wyatt's group worked on the Steel Bridge model and he was able to take it home today. It's pretty large and little brother might take an interest in it. It will survive as long as it does, I guess.
They are going to get to see some of these bridges from the river level on a Jet Boat excursion in the near future!
