September 10th is Joylynn's birthday
Busy mom. wife, friend, sister and daughter... we celebrated her birthday by hanging out with her for the whole day.
Har and I stopped at the market just down the street from Jess and Joylynn's to pick up some flowers and a cup of coffee to surprise her. I purchased the flowers and was walking toward the Starbuck's kiosk when I found myself getting hugged around the knees by a little boy. GARRETT! He and Joylynn walked to the store for milk and a cup of coffee. The surprise was on us!
Joylynn enjoyed the flowers and Garrett enjoyed a cake pop.
The only child for the day
Garrett was pretty excited to hang out with the four grown ups today. He had me outside following him around more than once.
Birthday lunch
We ate a cute little Mexican restaurant just a couple blocks from their house. I loved how colorful the decor was.
When the guys were finishing up and I was paying our bill, Garrett and Joylynn were sitting outside and he was playing with rocks. He announced to the waiter that it was his "Mom's happy birthday!"
After lunch Garrett and I took the dog for a walk.
Party time!
Wyatt and the rest of the kids did Wii dance routines as a present for Joylynn. They also did a fair amount of sing along songs. It was a very "Joylynn" party.
Dancing, singing, friends and cake. A perfect way to celebrate another year.
I took this picture at a flower shop awhile ago but the sentiment is appropriate for Joylynn at this time of her life. She's got so much going on now that the kids are enrolled in school.
I firmly believe that she is walking into a new season in her life. One of rebuilding and restoring and moving forward.
Happy Happy Birthday, Joylynn!
We wish you many blessings as this new year unfolds.
Love you!

Happy birthday to Joylynn!! Wish this great country was just a touch skinnier so we could hop and skip to birthday parties and such. Ah well, love was flying west from the great state of Virginia all the day long. Love and hugs to the September birthday girl!
