Two vehicles - Nine passengers
Lyssa and Logan brought a picnic supper to have at a park on the way back to their place. We stopped at a cute little marina along the Potomac across from D.C. Alyssa drove their Town and Country with me and the kids and Logan drove his truck with the guys riding along with him.
We waited there to keep from running into the going home commute out of the city.
I wanted to walk around and take pictures of the sailboats that were moored there. But before long it was time to hit the road, so I took what I could get.
Their neck of the woods
The guys took a different route to the house than our vehicle did. We happened upon three deer as we turned off toward their road. The deer didn't stand around and wait for me to take their picture.
We were finally there! It seemed pretty surreal. It was going to take some getting used to the heat and humidity!
Here are Alyssa and Cam comparing heights. It doesn't look like it in this photo but he's just a smidgen of an inch taller than she is now. Our guys are now officially taller than their "fourths". Rylan always has been taller than Krystle, Hayden passed Cherise up a while ago and now Cam is taller than Alyssa.
Evie was warming up to the Uncles. She is a pretty friendly little girl.
The Super hero gear was a hit
Rowan and Katie were presented with masks, belts, arm guards, capes and sheilds to play super heroes.
The girls and their Rob dog checked on the project that was going on outside before we left for a Costco run.
Meeting up with Kel and Tiia
Kelly and Tiia met us at Costco. We got some shopping done for both households in spite of our visiting and playing with the kids.
The hot and tired shoppers ready for an air-conditioned ride home.
Dinner at the Kitti's
Kurt and Kelly had our crew over for a cook out. She made the most delectable salads... one veggie and one fruit. Those along with salmon burgers and hamburgers made for quite the feast!
We had some after dinner entertainment by Katie and Evie. It was a dance party/freeze type of game.
Kel and Kurt's house lit by the flash of my camera.

I'm liking this vacation in retrospect ;) it's fun to look back even though it just happened. I'm eager to see more (no rush though! ;))
