We're outta here

The ones we left behind

It was strange taking off with just Hayden and Cam. Krystle, Rylan and Courtney were staying at home and got to do whatever they wanted while we were gone. I'm sure they ran with scissors and all sorts of other taboo things.

Courtney gave us a ride to the airport and took our van back to the house. I think she did a bit of driving with it as well during the week before she headed to the east coast herself.

At PDX

Our flight was on time & we we got through security pretty quickly. We had plenty of time to get breakfast and wait to board.

We decided to take the boys here.

 They put in this Gustav's at the airport just before that whole 9/11 thing. This is the first time that we've been able to eat there.

We look pretty relaxed anticipating our non-stop flight.

Just like Beaches at the airport, Gutav's has a breakfast menu that isn't available at their other restaurants. It's nice that the airlines allow passengers to take their own food onto their flights. As long as it's purchase beyond the security check point.

Cam's first flight

Cam had never flown before so it was pretty exciting for him. He, Hayden and Har all sat together. I was just across the aisle. Beverage service had all three guys ordering cranberry juice. I'm a Coke Zero gal :)

We really were on a plane! as proven by the airplane wifi availability.

In May of 2012, Har and I flew on Alaska Airlines to LasVegas... same airline but this time, I had a good 10 inches of seat belt that I didn't need to use!

We arrived at DCA

Regan International Airport is really a lovely place. It was especially nice to be greeted by Logan, Alyssa and the kids!!!

We'd barely left baggage claim and Katie was talking Hayden's ear off. It was just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to all things Kate. What a girl!
