Lacey, the Kitten capitol of our world

We made a trip up to see Alyssa this weekend. Hayden needs to go up there every couple weeks or so to do yard work. I did have my camera on hand so here are a few things I wanted to highlight. Master Na's always intrigues us. How do they do what they do in that little pink house?

Then there were kittens. Havoc had hers over 4 weeks ago but Chaos just had hers a little over 1 week ago. The older litter is getting to be quite playful. The little ones though are soooo cute.

Speaking of cute. Here is Alyssa in all her pregnantness. Isn't she a radiant pregnant woman. She is doing very well. Rowan is growin' right on schedule :-)

Frostys, fellowship & food, food, food

I've taken pictures of all kinds of things. Most of my pictures are candid shots of people but I have been known to take pictures of other things like food. Not to mention flowers, ferns, fluffy kittens and frisky puppies.
Mostly though it is friends and family. Thank you everyone for putting up with my photo fetish.

Monkey see and do

Busy little kids. We were able to spend some time with Wyatt and Genevieve in their home environment. They always like to show us their stuff and what their new skills are. They were using G'vieve's firetruck bed as a play structure before we went outside and played on the actual one.

She is so "two" already. Even though her birthday isn't until October, she isn't a little baby anymore. She can swing and climb and play with the best of them.

Extreme Ultrasound

You've seen the rest of the grandchildren on this blog numerous times. Here is a glimpse of the newest R-fam offspring via Extreme Ultrasound. Joylynn had an extra of this shot so I am introducing her or him to those of you who peruse this blog. My scanned picture didn't turn out as well as this pic of a pic. In the multiple ultra-sounds that have been taken of this little one we have yet to find out his or her gender. I guess, from looking at this photo and the others that were taken at the same time, that we are having another grandson. What do you think? Gnome or BC is hanging tough in there in spite of the fact that Momma's body wants to have it out. I think the doctors said if she makes it 3 more weeks that will be good. The baby will be 6 weeks early at that point but should be big enough to live out here with us.

Can't wait to see Wyatt and Genevieve with this new one. They are going to be such big helpers.

Summertime and the livin' is easy....

There is a song from way back in 1957 by that title. Don't know that I've ever heard all the lyrics but those seem like words to be inspired by. Summertime should be a time when you sit back and watch the flowers, crops and grass grow. A brief moment of fun and relaxation before the pressures of school, harvest and changing weather bring us back to our reality.

Hope you all take a few moments to swing on a porch swing or lay back on the grass and listen to the wind. Perhaps followed by a nice glass of iced tea or a big slice of cold watermelon. Summer has come and we welcome it.

Hydrangeas

I love hydrangeas. I have had hydrangeas at Joylynn's bridal shower, Alyssa and Logan's wedding reception and Lalita's baby shower. A friend of ours has the most amazing hydrangea bushes outside of her front door. I took 13 pictures of them before I got into the house today.

I don't know what it is called but it is one of the sports modes on my camera. The single shot sports mode works pretty well for getting pictures of moving children too. Just not as crisp and clear as I'd like. I'd say I need more experimentation....

Simon and Rowan and their parents

These girls of ours couldn't have better "better halfs". Lyssa and Lalita are blessed with a couple of the good ones. Bob, though this picture may make him look menacing, is a wonderful man. Simon is going to be one great kid having him as a Dad. Logan on the other hand looks like an all American clean cut kid. He is totally terrific. He, however, was born New Zealand so he is American by choice and clean cut by choice as well. Rowan will do well to take after his Pop. He is not only a NCO, he is also a gentleman. We are proud to have you both of you guys in our family.
