A dear friend's wedding

We've known Sarah Walkky since she was a little girl. We got to attend her wedding on Saturday, July 12th. Both Krystle and Courtney stood up with her. Harlan, Hayden, Cameron and I had never been to a wedding at the Overlook House. What a perfect venue! Everything was so beautiful.

It was over 90 degrees out there so there were fans and parasols provided for the guests during the ceremony. The tables for the reception were mostly in the shaded area of the large lawn.

Sarah's niece, Eleanor, preceded the bride and her father. So sweet and cute!

The bridesmaids chose their own dresses to wear and they all coordinated very nicely.

Sarah and Jeremiah have a jar of sand with layers representing their family.

They had a gorgeous and tasty supper buffet set out in a room behind the wisteria arbor.

There were heartfelt toasts to the couple.

The traditional cutting of the cake. The guests were served darling cupcakes in a variety of flavors. Some were adorned with fresh fruit.

The father/daughter dance was very sweet. They had an awesome DJ so the party kept hopping!

Harlan left the reception early to run out to the National Guard base to pick up Charles. He made it back before the festivities were over. That made Courtney pretty happy!

Sarah's mom, Janene, took a look at this selfie and saw a couple of Grandmas.
I see a dear friend whom I've shared a lot of years of history with.
It was great to get to see her, John, their son Matthew and his family and of course Sarah :0)
We wish Sarah and Jeremiah all the best in the years to come!
