Back in September: Virginia play and projects

The backyard trampoline

Lys and Logan got a trampoline for their kids. They certainly have the room for it. The kids are on it every day. Harlan and I even got out there with them. It is much bouncier than ours because it is 15 ft across and ours is only 12ft wide. I wish we had one of these when our kids were little. It is a great way to get exercise and fresh air :0)

Their labradane, Rob, has the run of the back of the property thanks to the fence project of last summer. He loves being with the family though and is a big sweetie.
Customized quilts
Alyssa's design and my sewing made for perfect gifts for Lyssa's friend Emma's baby shower.

What a wonderful bunch of women!

The Bible study that Lyssa attends threw a lovely baby shower for these much loved and anticipated twins and their momma. Emma is from Britain so Alyssa designed the Union Jack quilts with a rag quilt backing for the babies. Though no one but the ultrasound technician knew what genders the babies were, Lyssa was hoping they would be a boy and a girl and picked fabrics to go with that hope.
Emma's twins were born on October 25th at thirty-three weeks gestation. Harry and Lucy :-)

I am so happy and thankful that we were able to work on those quilts together. I know they are loving and using them and will do so for a long time :)

Also the yard looks so clean without leaves or sticks or smatterings of snow ;) I guess there is something I appreciate about summer here! haha
