Harlan and I were framed!
Alyssa has been dreaming of making their living room look more Portlandy by installing small windows and shelves on either side of their fireplace. They had purchased a gorgeous antique mantle to surround their firebox so all that was left was to cut holes in the walls, install windows and build shelf units. She found a couple of windows on Craig's list that seemed like they were be going to be perfect! The guys didn't waste any time getting to work on the window install and shelf build.
This is the site that Harlan has plans to put in a tree house for the grandkids but for this trip the project was in the living room.
Done for now
Harlan hated leaving without completing the project but left everything in Logan and Alyssa's capable hands.

I'm hoping to go back next summer to help with their next project…a new baby!

That project has made such a difference to our home! I am still smitten with it :) I love how the sun shines across the living room and into the kitchen and how a fire looks in the fireplace and how I'm slowly wrapping my brain around how to utilize and decorate those shelves ;)
Can't wait til next summer when we've got a little one playing on a gramma quilt with his/her gramma in the sun on the living room floor! :)
