It's all kids' stuff

Cam joined the track team

Cameron has taken to public school like a champion. He has lots of friends and enjoys his instructors and the feeling seems to be mutual. This spring he decided to go out for track. He stayed for practices every day for the past couple of months and had about a half dozen meets He gave it his all and beat his personal best several times. It was a great experience. Next year I'm going to try to make it to all his meets. Because I want to photo document his field events.
Courtney has a new job
Courtney started working at Sweet Pea Preschool and really likes it!

She happens to have a great boss too. my dear friend Kim :0)

Art and activities at the elementary school

I'm always impressed with the displays of children's artwork in the lobby and halls at the grandkids' school. The mosaic made of plastic lids is so amazing, as are the still life paintings.
Danika, showing off her braided coronet before school one morning.
G'vieve is a girl scout!

Joylynn is now a girl scout mom. It's the first year of many to come for her and her girls. This troop is just getting started but it seems like a nice bunch. Genevieve is thrilled to follow in Aunty Coco's footsteps in being a Girl Scout!
Special music performance followed by a Fiesta

Danika's class put on a delightful puppet play accompanied by rhythmic instruments. They did such a great job!
Danika was a happy girl having Mom, Dad, Grampa, Gramma and her little brother in attendance.
Mexican Fiesta

The entire first grade put on a great festival rounding out their studies of Mexico, the country, its people, customs and food.

Each classroom had craft things to do or games to play. They had murals to paint and an awesome burrito bar.

Garrett helped paint and gave me a paper flower that Danika made for me. He also snapped this photo.  I hope we can make it to more things like this in the years to come.
Also I should have taken more pictures ;0)
