They came bearing gifts
Krystle phoned us as we were getting ready for bed last night. Nate was bringing her home and they had an anniversary gift that they wanted to present to us in person. Har and I were given one of the most beautiful pottery bowls I've ever seen.
A friend of Nate's is the potter and a master potter he is!
Custom designed
This is a large bowl (4 qt capacity). Cobalt blue and custom made just for us! It is amazingly thin and surprisingly light, like fine china. There was so much thought and effort that went into it and we are grateful to have such a beautiful treasure.
I was mentally preparing to put it in the china cabinet just for display. However Nate said that it was meant for use. So we will use it and enjoy it and share meals with friends around it.
