December doings

A few lights going up

The porch has white lights lining the arches and the playhouse inside the house has blue icicle lights. I still want to put a blanket of snow on its roof. Har installed blue light bulbs into the light fixtures on each side of the fireplace. They are shining down on Mary, Joseph and Jesus on one side and a lovely tree on the other side.
Holiday Park Plaza last Sunday around sunrise.
One of these evenings I want to go downtown and do a photo shoot of the city lights.
Putting up decorations require hardware

Harlan is ever the engineer even when it comes to decorating for the holidays. This display also reminded me to "connect" with all the Hilmans. Though they spelled it wrong.
Sharing the beauty
Krystle got these roses from her friend and they've been beautifying my days ever since. They are some of the longest lasting flowers I've ever had around here. They are still gorgeous over a week later.
Tootling around with Gar-bear

Garrett was with us for a couple of nights and days this past week.  He's such a fun guy. This picture of him is a bit fuzzy but he's showing off his new hat.
The other picture is of the first time I followed the street car down Weidler. It goes down the left side before it turns south on NE 7th. It gets it own signal light as all other traffic is stopped. Riding on the street car is another thing I plan to do "one of these days".
Dinner with the Dominas!

We got invited and treated to dinner at the Rheinlander restaurant by Courtney's mother and father-in-law, Joanne and Kieth Domina. We love that place, it was such a treat.

It was the six of us sharing the lovely atmosphere and great food.
I didn't get any real good pictures of any of us but here we are. It almost looks like a group of three different generations even though Kieth is our age! Harlan thinks it isn't fair that we look like the senior citizens.  I like the way all of our spouses have the same color hair as we do though.

It was a fun, fun evening with Christmas songs being played by the wandering accordionist.
Thanks Dominas! Next time it's our turn to treat you.
