Grampa meets his "little man"

Celebrating a birthday in Portland
Harlan took Valentine's Day off of work. He took Courtney and Charlie out for her birthday breakfast at Bob's Red Mill. I joked with Courts when she sent me this picture that the people taking their order thought she was 16 based on the number they gave her to put on the table :0)
Having a Valentine's celebration in Tri-cities

I took a chance on Quinn arriving before V-day when I bought cards for all the grands. He made it and got his first Valentine from Harlan and me.

This "baby love" went along with his mom and dad on a lunch date to commemorate the day.

Anabelle was happy they didn't stay away overnight again. She's such a sweet snuggly girl. She and her mom have to stick together as the only females in the family now.
Waiting for Har's train to arrive
Courtney drove Har to the Amtrak station to catch the Empire Builder heading east.

It was 1992 the last time Harlan was on that train. On that trip the train was exactly on time for every stop along the way to Minnesota. On the way back that winter we ended up getting back to Portland 4 hours late. Not too bad for traveling 1500 miles.

This trip of Harlan's ended up getting to Pasco an hour and a half later than scheduled. It had to pull over to let freight trains have the right of way multiple times.
Valentine's Day was the day of the high school Winter Formal. Cam sent me this cell phone photo of himself and his date. It was hard being far away and not photo documenting this "first" in his high school life. I guess there are going to be lots of other firsts that I will be able to take pictures of.

The train finally arrived but by the time we got back to the kids' house everyone else was in bed. Cherise said she heard us come in because she was awake feeding the baby but by the time he was done we had turned in.

But the following morning...
Grampa finally got introduced to our newest little guy. What a precious bundle!
