Busy, jam packed, crazy week

Holy week
I know I've taken pictures of Augustana Lutheran's crosses in years past. But each time I see these decorated for Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Resurrection Day, it makes me so thankful for Jesus' sacrifice for us.
Cuzzy wuzzies
Garrett and Anabelle played for quite a while side by side. He'd occasionally reach over and pat her on the head but for the most part they didn't interact. This picture though does accurately depict their size difference. He's 11 months older than she.
But as Alan Jackson sings..."It's alright to be little bitty..."

Beautiful day at The Old Spaghetti Factory
The view from our table on the upper level of the downtown Old Spaghetti Factory. It was so nice of them to seat us up there. The kids could be a little more rambunctious and it wouldn't impact a restaurant full of diners.

We were celebrating Cherise's birthday and I didn't even get a good picture of her, Kiel and the kids. Fourteen of us had a great early dinner on Friday.
Early morning loss
Can you see the space? Genevieve officially lost her first tooth! (with a little help from Gramma ;0) )

HAPPY 8TH BIRTHDAY, WYATT!
Wyatt is starting to look older. He received several birthday calls from family.
It was proclaimed to everyone passing by our house.
Wyatt is 8!

Party started at Chuck's...
continued at McD's
Didn't quite get the shot of him holding up the sign but we was pretty happy to be heading inside. Most of the photos I took were of the back of people's heads playing various games. I think everyone had a good time.

Danika loved all of the little rides. Can't wait for Rose Festival. We've got to get to the Waterfront Village or whatever it is they call it now.
Kiel had mentioned that he hadn't been to Chuck E Cheese since fourth grade. Wyatt's birthday remedied that situation. Perhaps Henry will want a party here in August.

Garrett and Genevieve looked like a couple of rednecks in this hydraulic 4-wheeler ride. It was the best!

Super supper for everybody
The boy likes his double cheeseburgers.
Back to the house for birthday pie

He was on the phone again. This time talking to Aunty Alyssa while he opened his present from them. An awesome Lego headlamp!
They ate pie and opened presents in pjs since we didn't head out to party until Garrett and I were done with our afternoon nap. But everyone went to bed without too much fuss. Genevieve was looking forward to seeing if the Tooth Fairy showed up and everyone was looking forward to an early morning egg hunt.

Easter!
Half asleep with a plug still in his mouth but he found an egg.
Creating our breakfast eggs

We didn't get a chance to dye eggs beforehand so I boiled up a couple dozen, spread out newspaper and let them go.

Sometimes the spur of the moment things turn out better than the planned out stuff.
The eggs were beautiful and deliciously fresh!

Wearing our Easter finery to church

We stopped for a photo shoot before heading into the sanctuary. Harlan and I are so thankful for the family we have.

The two youngest grandsons
These guys are great. Garrett will be two in June and Henry will be 3 in August. They have such different looks, interests and styles. Both are beyond precious to us!

Miss that Henry Boy already and they've only been gone an hour or so.

That picture of the living room makes me think of old school birthdays from years past :)

Ha ha, that last pic of the boys makes Henry look quiet and timid. Cute :)
