Our local farmer's market

Two early birds :)
Good thing Gramma has an iPad too. Henry played a new game on it and did super duper. He's pretty coordinated. Anabelle was watching Arthur on theirs.
Friends came to spend the morning with us
Our friend Lalita and her Simon came to visit on Sunday morning. Simon is almost done with Kindergarten and is great at instigating activities. He and Henry mostly played "Chase".
We had quite the group on our walk down to the farmer's market.
Being that Sunday is the only day that the Irvington Farmer's Market is set up, we've never been there. We always see them setting up on our way to church and tearing down on our way back. I remembered walking through the wonderful farmer's market in Walla Walla with Kiel and Cherise when we visited them there. I thought Reesie would appreciate seeing our little block long one.

Everybody got to munch on fresh picked berries and popcorn.

Lovely produce

I managed to buy a few things and made it so we had to head home to drop all of this stuff off before we could go anywhere else. But it was a nice day for a walk and I'm pretty sure the the strawberry rhubarb dessert I make will be appreciated.

Another game of chase for the boys while the adults chatted and waited for the rest of us to make our final purchases.
The walk home

It always seems like you are in a foreign city when you walk or even look down a one way street that you've only seen by car from the opposite direction.  I think I need to walk the Broadway/Weidler loop a few times clockwise. It seems like it would be a refreshing change.
Hop Scotch Henry

Oh Henry boy we're going to miss you! You bring such enthusiasm to everything you do. I love your active imagination and your busy little body.

Lloyd Center Food Court lunch
The food court is perfect for a large group of people because everyone can chose their own favorites and enjoy their meals. I'm not sure Anabelle was

enjoying anything at this point.  Her pacifier had to be thrown away because it had a bite out of it and she was really really wanting a new one.
Lalita and Cherise have been friends for years and years. I'm sure they will maintain that friendship for years to come. It's a good one and it was great to see her and Simon. Now we need to find a time when Bob can join us too!

It was a lovely little market and a lovely day to visit. Sorry I couldn't take care of the strawberry/rhubarb for you. 2 hrs of cherry pies did me in for one week.
