A Clean Slate

Happy 2013!
A new year is a time to move forward, leaving the past in the past. It feels good to think about new adventures and plans. Somehow it is easier to start fresh on January 1st. When, really, each day should be a fresh start. Anne of Green Gables had the right idea...

“Isn't it nice to think that tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet?”

Each day we can have a clean slate and in this house...
We'll have clean dishes too!

Harlan and I went shopping for a dishwasher a couple of days after Christmas and decided on this one. It does an amazing job and sanitizes the dishes beautifully!
I hope the novelty of loading and unloading it never gets old for our kids.

A flurry of snow at the end of December
It's kind of hard to see but there are flakes flying outside in this picture. No accumulation but it was nice to watch it fall for a few hours as 2012 came to a close. We have near freezing temps and clear skies for the start of this year.

Happy New Year from our house to yours
Lots of love from HarTam!

Aw, very nice. Happy New Year.
No snow here, although overnight Friday is supposed to be 32 degrees! :) But then back up to 41 degree nights, 60-something days.
