Snow and sniffles

Some more flurries
We had some visible flakes flying around here for several hours yesterday. There was no accumulation and no schools were affected, but it was fun to watch.

Poor under-the-weather boys
Rowan missed a couple of days of school this past week with a fever, ear ache and bad cold. Katie and Evie are both feeling feverish off and on. Their pediatrician said it's just a virus and they'll be on the mend soon.
Today Wyatt was home with a slight temperature and a very runny nose and cough. The girls are coughing mostly at night but don't have any other symptoms. I hope all of these kiddos are back to normal soon.
I love Skyping with Henry and Anabelle
Cherise sent this picture of Anabelle's first time playing a game on the computer. She asked if she could play and even signed "please". When we were Skyping the other day Henry was cracking us up by telling his parents to "Say Hi" and introducing them to us by their first names. He's quite the boy learning all those social graces.
MLK Day
If they are healthy, Wyatt, Genevieve and Danika are going to be in a program this Friday for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
I remember when our kids were in a similar performance.
I was driving east along Holiday St last week when I was stopped at a light and noticed this MLK statue near the Convention Center. It is usually photographed from the other angle getting the Convention Center in the background. I like this angle with the Oregon State office building and the bare branched trees with it. One of these days I'll walk over and see what the plaque on it says and find our who the others on the pedestal are.

MLK holiday means Harlan has a 3 day weekend! Yippee!
