Doings and happenings from far and near

New lego plane and growing vocabulary

Henry got a lego set when we were at Legoland last week. It can make 3 different creations. His lego plane went on a visit to Starbucks the day after we left.
Miss Anabelle is starting to express herself more with words but still uses signs a lot. She understands everything though. She's pretty happy with her Happy Meal apples.  Num num!
A visit with Gremmy in Virginia

Our grandchildren in Virginia got the pleasure of spending time with their paternal grandmother this past week. I am thrilled that she was able to enjoy their warm weather and see their new place. And that she got introduced to the pleasure of checkers at Cracker Barrel! (one of Rowan's favs)
Welcome to the family Rob

Alyssa and Logan adopted this pup from a shelter. They don't have much history on him and don't really know how old he is but the best guess is around 10 weeks. As for his breed? They figure he's a lab mix. He sure is a sweet looking fellow.

Evie loves, loves, loves dogs! However, Alyssa says she likes Rob better in the kennel. I bet she'll change her tune very soon as they get to know one another better and his puppy enthusiasm is curbed a tad.

My sister is a new Grandmother

Although my sister, Kelly has been a grandmother ever since her daughter, Briana, married and gave her two step-granddaughters... this is the first that she can embrace from day one. Our niece, Karyn, gave birth to a beautiful little girl last Thursday. Miss Edie Sofia weighed 7 lbs 14 oz. Karyn and her husband Brandon have fallen so in love with this baby already. Kelly and Kurt will get their turn soon. Congratulations to the whole family!
Courtney's new venture

Courtney is starting to be a PartyLite consultant. She will be trying to supplement their income with a couple of shows per week. If you have any candle needs, give her a call. Her website should be up and running fairly soon.

I have loved PartyLite for years and have never been disappointed in their products. They've been in business for 40 years, so they must be doing something right.

Hello Danika! Someone poked a hole in your ears.

Harlan greeted Danika by saying, "Hey, someone poked a hole in your ears." She is over the moon at finally getting her ears pierced. Her dad informed her that he was okay with it so this weekend it happened. Joylynn took her to Claires and she hardly winced at all. These stainless steel Hello Kitty earrings would look good on me too. Perhaps it's time for a second hole in my ears :0)

Henry clicked on the first picture and said "Hey! A picture of me!" scrolling though "One of Anabelle!"... "These are all good!"
