Our final road trip of the weekend

 These kids love Legos
Anabelle has her own little set of princess legos that have now been mixed in with the rest. It makes for a bigger castle being built for her Sleeping Beauty lego figure.
Our Bellie-girl

She was a Grampa's girl for the whole time but I got a few snuggles in too. She got to read with her Momma for a few minutes before we took off for Legoland, California!
We made it!
This is not too far of a drive from their place so they've been here quite a few times. Henry had so much to show us!

First he wanted to stop and get a souvenir penny made. But then it was on to the roller coaster. Harlan and I got to ride with him. He was delighted! Anabelle is too small for this coaster so her job was to sit in the stroller and be cute. She's got that down pretty well!

The girl gets to ride & play

This is kind of a toddler area of the park. The train ride was so fun for the
kids! Henry got to be the engineer.

Helicopter ride with Henry

Henry and I went on a helicopter ride. I controlled the up and down function and he controlled the turning left and right one.
Here is a shot Cherise took.
Live lego guy

Cherise said this is the first time that Henry went up to one of the costumed employees. He wasn't shy at all. But his favorite buddy for the day was Grampa!
AMAZING miniatures!

These are just a few of the miniatures that are built completely out of lego bricks. They are incredibly realistic looking.

 Waiting for our tour boat

There is a boat tour of the park where there are things hidden from the walking paths so it's a nice way to see some more awesome creations.

Har and his Lego friends

The new hotel at Legoland
This hotel just opened on April 5th. Our Reardon grandkids would love to spend a few nights here. There is also a water park open in the summer/fall and an aquarium that we didn't get to see. It leaves more for us to see when we come back.
Back to the cars and back to reality

 Carlsbad, CA is beautiful!

After we had a lunch at Subway I tried to catch a few pictures of the flower fields next to the outlet mall. Carlsbad is known for their flowers. Also other produce. I would have loved to stop at the u-pick strawberry fields on our way back to Cherise and Kiel's.
The real reality

We didn't get to sit together on our way home :0( but we had a great welcome from our "little family".

I think they may have missed us a bit.
It was nice to see these guys. They are kind of cool to hang around with too!
